Landscapes

I began painting 20 years ago in Maine after many years of using photography as my means of creative expression. The frame of a 35mm lens taught me to limit and select my field of vision. The landscape was my central interest when I began to paint, using light and shadow to cut into the predicted positive image and work the negative space; constructing the rectangle.
